The Shire Haddon Summerhouse is ideal for anyone who likes to spend a lot of time enjoying the view of their garden. Fill it with comfy furniture to provide a perfect place for reading or relaxing, or add a table and chairs to create a pleasant dining room.
The fact it is a Shire summerhouse means you can be assured of top grade timber . Shire only source timber from Scandinavia and Siberia where the best timber for garden buildings is produced. The timber is tight grained producing less sap and is therefore a more durable timber than the faster growing timber used by other summerhouse manufacturers.
Full assembly instructions are provided with this summerhouse and with all the fittings in the box as standard you will be amazed at how simple your summerhouse is to install. If you do not want to install yourself you can opt for our handy assembly service.
Walls – The shiplap profile allows efficient run off of water and helps keep the summerhouse nice and dry inside, while the tongue and groove construction helps to minimise draughts.
Door – Double doors come half glazed to allow maximum light. An attractive gate latch is supplied with the building.
Roof – The roof of the summerhouse is constructed from water resistant Oriented Strand board (OSB) which has similar properties to plywood. OSB is a high quality ‘Solid Sheet Board.
Floor – The floor of the summerhouse is constructed from matching tongue and groove boarding for a impressive finish.
Windows – All summerhouse windows are glazed with 3mm horticultural glass.
Treatment: All Shire garden buildings are supplied pre-treated with a base coat to both sides in a golden brown water based industrial product (colour can vary from the picture shown). Shire the manufacturer recommends that you apply a water based top coat of your choice. This will protect the timber from weathering on your shed making it last longer and will need to be repeated accordingly in relation to the manufacturer’s instructions.
