This playhouse has a beautifully traditional single door, with a diamond porthole window and classic fixings, four large windows, and two window boxes as standard, with the option to add more. The playhouse is fitted with safety hinges on its door and windows, meaning little fingers are protected, and all the windows are glazed with environmentally-friendly shatter resistant styrene, a safer alternative to glass.

The Loft is made from a high-grade shiplap pine in a sturdy tongue and groove construction, making it better sealed from the elements and giving it an attractive look. The floor is also constructed from tongue and groove cladding for a more water resistant, longer-lasting build. The timber used is a continental slow-grown timber, distinguished from the fast-grown type used on cheaper playhouses from other manufacturers by its tighter grain, extra strength and longer life. This Shire playhouse is supplied with a dip-treated base coat as standard, with a top coat available as an option for a stronger and golden brown finish. The Loft Playhouse does not come pre-painted, giving you a blank canvas to tailor to the children’s desires. The manufacturer recommends applying a water-based top coat of your choice, preventing the timber from weathering and therefore making the playhouse last longer.
The Shire Loft Playhouse is supplied flat-packed for ease of handling and assembly. All fittings and felt are included in the price, with clear, easy-to-follow instructions, though you can choose to add assembly if desired.
